Spirit World (2024)
Spirit World Trailer
Claire’s (Catherine Deneuve) long and legendary career as a pop musician and the death of her daughter has turned her inward and bitter. She is in Japan for a concert where after that fateful night, Claire wakes from her lifeless body. Now a ghost, she roams the limbo of her newfound plane of existence. It is here that she meets the recently deceased Yuzo (Masaaki Sakai), who also happens to be her biggest fan. Their paths lead them to Yuzo’s son, Hayato (Yutaka Takenouchi), set on a journey by his father to meet the mother (Jun Fubuki) he never knew. In the back seat of the car, Yuzo and Claire join Hayato on this autumnal road trip back into the unknown, a story of rediscovery, the choices we live with, and to make amends.
